Hi. Title's a bit slapdash I know, but I didn't have much room. Also, I thought this is the board the topic should go in, as in a way, it's a computer issue as well as concerning my Symbian 60 2nd Gen Nokia N70 smart phone.
I haven't felt it necessary to update the firmware since I purchased the phone over two years ago from my local Orange shop. Lately however, I'm wishing to move on a bit from just using it as a standard telephone and text phone, so I've brought an Igo stowaway bluetooth keyard and Bluetooth GPS receiver which I know, should be compatible with the phone after very extensive internet research. Trouble is, I haven't been able to get either device working with it, so I guess that's because the firmware's so old, so out of date. 3.0 infinity lol, as oppose to 5.0 infinity. Trouble is, I looked in to downloading Nokia software updater, but here's probably the biggest snag. The only working laptop I have access to, came with Windows Vista as standard and Windows Media Centre. Updater isn't compatible with Media centre and just won't work.
So now, I'm thinking I'll either have to take the phone back to Orange, Car Phone Warehouse or somewhere to get it flashed or carry on searching fruitlessly for ways to update this phone over the air. Meanwhile and now comes the whole point of this topic, does anybody know how I can update my N70 over the air without software updater?

O yeah, I'm now getting those annoying little balloons telling me I need to update the firmware every time I connect the N70 to my laptop. What is the JAWS short cut to deal with balloons and tool tips when using a laptop?

i don't know the jaws command, but i would suggest taking the phone to orange and getting it flashed. they should do that for no, or a very small charge.
Yeah, I think I will. Thanks.
